Purpose | History | WSTU Advisor

WSTU Radio Station aims to serve Historically Black Colleges and Universities with music, information, and special features including interviews of industry artists and entertainers, as well as showcasing various businesses and organizations. Currently, the station functions as a training vehicle for communications students who attend school in the Atlanta University Center community. WSTU Radio allows students the opportunity to apply communication concepts and practices. Thus, it enables them to gain practical skills in various aspects of the broadcasting industry.

WSTU Radio Station's format is Urban-Alternative, which highlights a quality mix of R&B and hip-hop music, as well as gospel, blues, jazz and some international music. The station targets a primarily young (ages 18-24), educated and progressive audience.
